Dr Patrick Briggs is an internationally trained, Specialist Plastic Surgeon with over 20 years’ experience. Dr Briggs began his general surgery training in London and undertook further training in Plastic Surgery in the USA and Ireland. Mr Ramez Bassari is a specialist General Surgeon with sub-specialist training and qualifications in Bariatric (weight loss) and Upper Gastrointestinal surgery. Admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013, Mr Vanyai worked at Royal Darwin Hospital before undertaking a further two year fellowship in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery in Newcastle and Melbourne. Dr Arun Dhir is a specialist Upper Gastro Intestinal surgeon and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Wendy Brown is a senior Upper GI surgeon as well as an associate professor of surgery at Monash University. She graduated top of her class at Monash Univerity in 1992 and since has become the first female appointed chair of the the Monash University Department of Surgery in 2015, the Director of the Centre for Obesity Research and Education (CORE) as well as being the Clinical Lead for both the National Bariatric Surgery Registry and the Victorian Upper GI Cancer Registry.
